Pastor Robert Simon is the Founder and President of Carmel Ministries. An ardent preacher of the Word of God, Pastor Robert Simon strongly believes that one should have the knowledge of the Truth and that Truth and that knowledge will in totality emancipate him/her.
‘Holiness and truth important in every believer’s life’
During his college days, Pastor Robert Simon almost became a rationalist. He comes from the CSI background. As a child, he had accepted Jesus Christ as his LORD and Savior. Yet, as a youth he found comfort in rationalistic beliefs. That attitude helped him not to become an atheist. A true rationalist is a true Christian. Hallelujah! A postgraduate in English Literature, Pastor Robert Simon had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ that led to his salvation experience in 1972 when he was barely 23. Soon, he was baptized and took to preaching the good news. His first sermon was in a moving train. Pastor Robert Simon is well known for his teachings on the book of Revelations. The central theme of all his ministries is this: ‘You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free’.
His interest in the book of Revelations?
He had heard several preachers’ sermons on the second coming of our LORD Jesus Christ. That spurred him to study the books on apocalypse and eschatology more intensely. A year later, he started preaching in conventions. In 1974, Bro. Simon Stanly, an evangelist, showed him how Biblical prophecies had become part and parcel of history over the years. Bro.Stanley told him inparticular about the re-gathering of the Jews and how various Biblical prophecies were being fulfilled. This provided him the impetus to study prophecies in detail. When he saw these prophecies come true quite literally, he began a serious study of the Book of Daniel in the Bible. The question that weighted Nebuchadnezzar was heavy in his mind too – ‘What shall be hereafter?’ Based on these studies, he prepared a series of sermons titled ‘What is tomorrow?’ and ‘What is next?’ That gave him a real impetus to dwell more into history and Bible studies.
About us
Pastor Robert Simon and his wife Premila are God’s chosen vessels, with both having a personal call to serve the Lord in His vineyard. Even before they stepped out for the full time ministry they have given their very best to minister among the youth and the children. God had been using them far and wide for the spread of His kingdom. Pastor through the Word of God and Sister, with the God given gift of composing songs and singing have glorified God in many a meetings and crusades. Endowed with many gifts, the Lord has kept them a blessing to many a people especially through the gift of prophecy. They have been used by God as channels to bring God’s divine deliverance to the eager souls. Glory be to God.

Right from a very small age, I grew up with an eagerness to serve the Lord. Born in a traditional Christian family, I accepted the Lord as my personal Saviour at the age of 9. Though my parents were well placed in government jobs, we were in debts. When I was 15 years old the Lord touched me once again. As a family we obeyed the Lord in waters of Baptism and started to grow deep in His truth. There was a marked change in each one of our lives. The Lord helped us to miraculously escape from our debts in a short period. Praise the Lord.
Even before my marriage God had clearly revealed to me that we would serve the Lord full time. According to His plan on May 26,1977 I got married to Robert Simon, who was a senior Mathematics teacher. Together we served the Lord, till He called us out for the full time ministry.
Call for the Ministry:
In February, 1982 my husband was suffering from severe Malaria, with high fever. One night suddenly, a bright light appeared and I heard the still sound voice of our Lord speaking to me. I committed myself totally to do His will, and was constrained to pray dedicating my life to His ministry. Next day, my husband’s fever persisted, all of a sudden I saw a bright light focus on his face. I was afraid and tried to shake him. He just signed me to leave him alone. After about two hours the fever came down completely and he said that he had a personal visitation of God – talking to him about stepping down for the fulltime ministry. We shared this with our Pastor. It was interesting to note that Pastor knew we would visit him with the same news and he was waiting for us. Glory to God!
